Refund Policy:

Following the offer letter, students need to make a deposit payment to the university bank account in order to receive an acceptance letter.

When the student enrolls, the deposit payment will be deducted from the tuition fee.

The deposit payment is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances except for the case when the student pays more than the deposit amount.

To be eligible for a refund, student must provide notice and withdraw from the undergraduate/graduate courses prior to commencement. Once the student commences his/her study, s/he will not be eligible for a refund. Only students who can prove that their visa application is refused are deemed eligible for a refund.

The refund will be made to the same person or party from whom the payment was received on the student’s behalf.

Application for Family (Sibling) Discount at Altinbas University

To be eligible for the Family (Sibling) Discount, applicants must be enrolled to an undergraduate degree program in the same academic year as your sibling(s).

The discount is applicable to tuition fees only and applications must be renewed every academic year that you wish to receive the discount.

Application must be received submitted before the registration deadlines of the respected academic year.

Applicants must provide the evidence of relationship (e.g. birth certificates, passport copies mentioning the names of the parents).

STEP 1: SUBMIT YOUR PAPERS.

Go to admission in Turkey page on Admissionex .com and submit all the required documents. After applying you’ll recive your pincode by email.

STEP 2: CONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.

After your application is positively evaluated, you will recive a conditional letter via e-mail.

STEP 3: DEPOSIT PAYMENT.

Pay the deposit money to University’s  accounts which is mentioned in the conditional acceptance letter. Don’t forget to put your pincode in the payment description.

STEP 4: OFFICIAL ACCEPTANCE.

After paying the deposit, you will recive an Official Acceptance Letter with the description of farther registration steps on your e-mail.

STEP 5: REGISTRATION,

Prepare the original hard copies of your documents and come to istanbul to the main campus to complete your registration. if you don’t have any acceptable English score you will be informed about the nearest English Exams session  after your registration.

STEP 6: RESIDENCE PERMIT,

After completing your enrollment, visit International Students Office and apply for student residence permit.

Language requirements to apply at Altinbas University  

If you would like to study a degree program which is taught in English, you must satisfy Altinbas University English language requirements.

Students who get the minimum valid score inAltinbas University proficiency test or in one of the international exams recognized by the senate may start freshman year.

If students do not have a valid international exam result which is recognized by the university, they are able to undertake English language proficiency test to gain entry into their preferred program at Altinbas University.

The University reserves the right to require that an applicant undergo a test of English proficiency, if the authentication of the international or national exam result cannot be confirmed.

If you would like to study a degree program which is taught in Turkish, you must submit a TÖMER B2 certificate in order to prove your Turkish Profeciency.

Students who cannot prove their Turkish profeciency for a program taught in Turkish, will not be able to start their studies.

English preparatory course at Altinbas University  

If your English test result does not satisfy English language requirements into your chosen program, students will have to proceed to the English Language Preparatory Department which offers English language program which provide the best chance of transitioning into study programs.

The Basic English Preparatory Program functions in 4 quarters each of which lasts 8 weeks.

Altinbas University Preparatory School aims to provide students with enough English knowledge to carry out their academic studies in their study programs.

Based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), this program aims to help students develop reading, listening, speaking and writing skills.

Altinbas University Preparatory School, a modular system is applied. The program consists of four levels (A1, A2, B1, B2).

Students who enroll at the beginning of the academic year take the placement test and they are placed at the appropriate level according to their scores. Reading, listening, speaking and writing skills are assessed in the placement test. Those who get the passing grade take the proficiency test. Those who pass the proficiency test go to their faculties.

Please note that the English Preparatory School tuition fee is the same with the program that you are accepted. Which means that, if you fail to pass the English Proficiency test and are placed to the English Prep School, you will be making the same tuition payment as of the department that you are registered.
