Ibn Haldun University | IHU was established by the TÜRGEV Foundation (Turkey Youth and Education Services Foundation), set up by Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 1996 when he was Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.[1] The Rector is Professor Dr. Atilla Arkan.
In December 2019, IHU set up a four year project to improve the understanding of the work of Al-Tirmidhi. It also held a seminar to celebrate the work of Fuat Sezgin
Campus
Ibn Haldun University | IHU is located in Başakșehir, in the western outskirts of Istanbul, where a new campus opened in the fall of 2020.
Faculties
There are six faculties at Ibn Haldun University, comprising faculties of business, communication, humanities and social sciences, education, law, and islamic studies.
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
In addition to helping students graduate, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences wants them to contribute to the literature in the social sciences.
Undergraduate and graduate degrees are available in the subjects of Economics, History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Sociology, and Comparative Literature within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

STEP 2: CONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.
After your application is positively evaluated, you will receive a conditional letter via e-mail.
STEP 3: DEPOSIT PAYMENT.

The registration process cannot be completed unless the required documents are provided to the Ibn Haldun University | IHU .
Until provided, existing registrations may be cancelled. The documents required for registration are as follows:

Dormitories
There are dormitories for girls and boys in the Ibn Haldun University Complex. It can accommodate 743 students, including 361 girls and 382 boys. Dormitory rooms are for 3 people. All kinds of comfort have been considered for IHU’s students in the rooms and generally in IHU’s dormitories.
In the dormitory buildings, there are special study areas, recreation areas, social-cultural activity areas and a library, as well as aerobics halls for girls and fitness centers for boys, and hobby kitchens. The carpet pitch, basketball court and tennis court located right next to the dormitory buildings are also available to IHU’s students.

Student life on the campuses
There are three campuses of Ibn Haldun University: Başakşehir, Süleymaniye, and Taş Mektep Bakrköy.
The first phase of the Başakşehir campus, which is based on classical Turkish architecture, was inaugurated.
With its contemporary faculty buildings and classrooms, congress and conference halls, cozy dorms, library, green spaces, and social facilities outfitted with the newest technological amenities, it has earned the title of “campus university.
” On campus, there are 4 computer labs and 1 psychological lab. There are two 180-person capacity lecture rooms, a concept classroom, and a 412-person capacity conference room.
The University has restored the Sulaymaniyah campus in keeping with its original spirit.
The Süleymaniye Campus, which was inaugurated on October 3, 2018, is home to the Mülazimler Madrasa, Darulhadis, Institution Darulkurra, Salis Madrasa, and Imaret buildings. It supports a variety of academic events for the university. It has been made to function for the aims of its original rebuilding, particularly in the sphere of Islamic sciences, by acting as a venue for several research.
Campus at Taş Mektep is Taş Mektep, a prominent building in Bakrköy, was constructed by Count Alléon, a Frenchman who was one of the founders of the Ottoman Bank and an expert in urban design.
The historical structure, which was renovated in 2014 and given to Ibn Haldun University, serves as the Bakrköy campus of the university and offers a variety of training sessions for the Continuing Education Center.
Activities
The Ibn Haldun University encourages its students to participate in sports. Working with the appropriate sports instructor helps students get ready for sporting events and practices.
The following sports are available for students to pick from: table tennis, indoor football, archery, arm wrestling, rowing, and dragon boating. Students who are athletes also take part in team competitions and tournaments both domestically and internationally.
Accomodation
The Ibn Haldun University offers lodging options. For both boys and girls, there are dorms with more than 300 beds. Dorm rooms can accommodate three persons. In the dormitory buildings, there are social spaces such as aerobics rooms for females and fitness rooms for boys, hobby kitchens, reading areas, and resting areas.
To the north of the dormitory structures are a basketball court, a tennis court, and a football field. The cycling path connecting the dorms to the faculty area and encircling the faculty area is a part of the Başakşehir Municipality’s bicycle path, which is the longest bicycle path in Turkey. There are now about 100 bicycle parks in the municipality.
